What is Somatic Healing?
There’s no fixing or judging in session with me. My work is deeply compassionate to the parts of you that learned these patterns in order to survive.
Somatic healing works with the body, not just the mind.
Childhood wounds, trauma, abandanment, bullying, neglect, or even subtle messaging don’t only live in memory - they live in the nervous system, the muscles, the breath, and the emotional responses of the body.
These wounds show up in posture, breath, startle responses, emotional reactivity, and the ways people protect themselves — often decades after the original experiences occurred.
That’s why insight alone rarely resolves developmental trauma.
Healing tends to happen when we work with the body, and with the patterns that formed before words were available.
Stress, fear, unmet needs, and attachment wounds are carried in the body at a nervous system level.
The good news is: Childhood pain lives in the body, and that means it can be healed.
Somatic healing gently listens to what your system is already communicating and allows unfinished emotional responses from the past to complete and release.
