Anger is healthy. But there’s a type of anger that turns to rage and harms ourselves and the people we love. People don’t talk about this enough.

Because there’s a lot of shame attached to rage.

So we pretend it didn’t happen and we hide it from ourselves and our outer circle, never really getting the support we need.

Anger turns to unhealthy rage when we don’t have a way to express it in healthy ways.

Your anger isn’t the problem. You have a nervous system that doesn’t feel safe, and perhaps hasn’t for decades.

When you snap at your kids for not listening, when you fly off the handle at your partner for something that feels disproportionate to the rage, we must be compassionate that there is something deeper going on here for you.

It’s either unprocessed trauma, chronic stress, or both.

I write this like I’ve lived it -because I have.

And I coined this series Anger Blindspot Recovery because I know there’s a gap between irritation and explosion and almost every single time, you don’t see it coming, just like a car behind you that you can’t see.

Anger or rage is not a personality or character flaw. You weren’t born with it. Your brain isn’t broken.

You’ll learn how to catch rage before it catches you. You’ll also build a personal warning system that invites you to notice triggers, and build a resevoir of practical tools that help in the moments before and during rage.

Part Four - Soma

In this module, we move anger through your body without it becoming destruction - we complete the threat response with somatic release. The most liberating part!

Part Five - Repair

Learn how to heal yourself and your connections after an explosion at visceral, meaningful level.

Part Six - Transmute

From this place of regulation, create a life that’s full, beautiful, meaningful, and peaceful.

Meet Leah

I used to yell at my daughter. Almost daily. I was calm and zen-like on the outside. 

Then one day she looked at me, aged five, and said, "I don't know who you are." I didn't either.

I will never claim to be perfect. But I can’t remember the last time I yelled. It’s been years. And that’s an achievement I am proud of. It’s not a dazzling achievement that most would deem as successful - but to me, this is the ultimate version of success: Having peaceful, meaningful relationships, grounded in regulation, respect, presence, and communication.
